National Physical Therapy Month
Tuesday, October 1, 2013 – WESTARM Physical Therapy of Lower Burrell, PA – October is recognized as National Physical Therapy Month. This is an annual commemoration held by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) designed to recognize the impact that physical therapists and physical therapist assistants make in restoring and improving motion in people’s lives.
In celebration during this month, WESTARM will be providing free balance screenings and grip strength testing at the following events and locations:
The APTA represents more than 85,000 physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and students of physical therapy nationwide. Today’s graduating physical therapists hold either a master’s or clinical doctorate degree. They create plans of care reflecting scientifically-based treatment techniques that restore function, reduce pain, and help prevent disability.
WESTARM is a Medicare Certified Rehabilitation company that has been in business for over 30 years. They offer outpatient Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy at eight (8) facilities. Also, skilled nursing and licensed therapy visits are provided within patient’s homes primarily in the Alle-Kiski Valley (northeast) area of Pittsburgh, PA.
