Jones, DPT, ATC, OCS, has earned the professional designation of Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). He is the Facility Director of their Lower Burrell facility. This board certification is granted by American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists (ABPTS). Approximately 7% of the physical therapists in the United States are board certified in a specialty and only 4% of therapists in the United States are Orthopedic Certified Specialists. Board certification involves a rigorous examination process and provides assurance to patients and the medical community of a therapist’s skills and abilities in their specialty area. Dr. Jones earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Slippery Rock University. As a Certified Athletic Trainer, he has much interest and experience in the treatment of sports-related injuries, including concussions / head injuries and manual therapy. He is a current member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. Will was a lifelong resident of Upper Burrell and now lives in Verona with his wife. He has participated in competitive soccer and enjoys long distance running and other outdoor activities. WESTARM Physical Therapy is a Medicare Certified Rehabilitation agency that has been in business for over 33 years. They offer Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy at eight (8) facilities primarily in the Allegheny Valley area of Pittsburgh. They also contract with local school districts to provide therapy for special-needs students and also athletic training for injured athletes.
